About Rick Hayes and Rick Hayes Instruments Well, I (Rick's wife and webmaster) decided to keep things very basic with this website. The simple truth is Rick loves music and started playing at the age of 8, and he's been performing, recording and producing music ever since. He's put together a few electric guitars in his day, and even created a sculpted Bugs Bunny guitar for Warner Brothers once upon a time -- but his true passion these days is in building bluegrass mandolins and guitars from a player's perspective. The melding of rich tone, ease of play, and handcrafted artistry are built into every instrument. Rick has joined with luthier and great friend, Dann Ross on this venture. Dann has been building his Tanner Creek custom acoustic guitars for almost 15 years, but is now lending his talents to building bluegrass guitars and mandolins. If you have any questions, please contact Rick using the info below for more information. You can also click here to sign up for our email newsletter to stay on top of things. Thanks
